As the appraiser behind Collins & Associates, Dave personally handles each assignment rather than passing the work through multiple layers of staff. From understanding the purpose of the appraisal, the scope of work required, researching the market, developing the evaluation, and preparing the report, clients work directly with Dave.
His experience includes commercial, industrial, land, multi-family residential, residential properties, custom estates, tax, litigation, eminent domain, and specialty property assignments. What Does Certified General Appraiser Mean?
California real estate appraisers are licensed and regulated by the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers (BREA). California recognizes four appraiser license classifications, each with a different permitted scope of practice.

Every appraisal assignment begins with understanding the property, the intended use of the appraisal, and the scope of work surrounding the valuation.
David R. Collins personally completes the appraisal assignment, applies the appropriate research, market evidence, and valuation methods needed to develop a well-supported opinion of value.
1. Understand the Assignment
Dave reviews the property, appraisal purpose, intended users, effective valuation date, reporting requirements, and other assignment details necessary to determine the appropriate scope of work.
